It was a precursor to several other "fake"umentaries that McKean has been doing over the years. Look for A Mighty Wind which parallels this movie in ways, although its about folk music. You (and by that, I mean anyone) just can't summarize the movie without including some of its funniest lines. (One of my faves is when the group's manager tells them their Boston gig has been cancelled, and he tries to console them with, "Don't worry. It's not much of a college town, anyway.")
