But there is one somewhere out there with Robert DeNiro in the role of Magwitch (name changed to Lustig. For some reason a lot of the novel was changed including moving it from 1800's London to modern NYC. So I have avoided it.)Quiggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12434473473185065992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722895377719228596.post-20233386508326750352016-11-21T06:44:48.961-06:002016-11-21T06:44:48.961-06:00Totally enjoyable! Yeah, I tend to define period ...Totally enjoyable! Yeah, I tend to define period dramas as movies/shows set in an era before the one in which it was made. So I consider westerns and many war movies to be period dramas, though I know a lot of people think only of things taking place in Britain in the 1800s as period dramas, lol.

I need to see more Alan Quatermain movies! Clearly. Richard Chamberlain and Patrick Swayze? Yes, please!

Still haven't seen David Lean's "Great Expectations." I do have a copy of the BBC version starring Ioan Gruffudd, though, and I hope to watch it before the end of the year.

I really like the Frank Langella Dracula too!Hamlette (Rachel)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11961916847426233995noreply@blogger.com
