Four Things Tag

The Four Things Tag

I saw this tag on Hamlette's Soliloquy.  It's not my usual thing for this movie blog to do tags, but I thought I'd go for a change of pace.

  1. Well, no wonder we get along so well! I majored in Liberal Arts with minors in History and English. They didn't have a Creative Writing degree at the time, or I'd have gotten at least a minor in that.

I agree with you on the acquired taste, mostly, except that I've kind of just spontaneously acquired a taste for some things as I age. Like coffee. I just started liking it, I didn't try to do that. So that's what I tend to mean when I say something is an acquired taste -- it's one I wasn't born liking, but just started liking later in life for whatever reason.

    1. hat acquired taste comment stems from a conversation I had when I worked in a grocery store. Our fish market got in a batch of caviar. (Who in their infinite wisdom thought caviar would sell well in small town Texas I don't know.) In any case, the woman at the counter let me try a taste. I thought it was disgusting. She said it'a an "acquired taste". Which too me implied I'd get to like it if I kept at it. Ummm, no.... Thanks for reading.

  2. So much fun, Quiggy, you inspired me on my coffee break at work. (Some of my answers were the same as yours, so I left those, by the way!)

    1. Never watched "Queer as Folk" but I did occasionally watch that show with the five gay guys trying to give the straight guy lessons into how to be a metrosexual. Fish is one of my favorite non-meat foods. I've been north of the Mason Dixon line once in my life, when I was still 3 months old. Came within 5 miles of Florida on a road trip to DC. (And it ticked me off that I couldn't get the rest of the car to agree to just make a quick side trip so we could say we'd been to Florida...) Thanks for reading.
